USING MASKS
The Lesson
Now this I could get my teeth into! I haven't done much with masks and have wanted to, so this was an ideal lesson (as you can see from the multiple images!). I used a Brightness/Contrast automatic contrast before adding masks since the first original needed to be lightened.
 
Using the leaf tubes on the mask layer allowed me to add them without covering over the central picture.
