This kitchen is such a pleasure to be in. The old one with it's warped and broken drawers was getting to be quite a hassle!
We finally had the deck stained and sealed. Now it won't have a weathering problem. With a nice, new deck, we needed to get some chairs and a firepit! The carport is going to be a blessing if we ever get any snow. I can't scrape and clean snow and ice now.
We were lucky to get a really great view of the aurora. It was a real treat since we are usually too far south to see this. I have only seen them once before, when I was a young girl living in Temple, Pennsylvania. Here is Aidan, my 4 footed kitten sitter. Socializing the foster kittens to be around dogs is part of the program. Aidan doesn't mind at all!
Ron, surveying his kingdom. He can see the waterfall from his seat here. This is also where he does his stock managing! One of the things I remember growing up out in the country was the violets my mother grew. I am finally in a house with a window facing the correct direction and space to put flower pots. These are the plants when I first got them. They are still doing fine and certainly brighten the day.
