This is pretty much the story so far. Two years ago I had surgery to remove half of my colon. All went well and I am in good shape now. In May, 2005, Ron had quadruple by-pass surgery. The surgery went very well, but the recovery time was a bit difficult. Ron is now up and around and getting back to himself. That is really good.

I hope that I will be able to add several more pages before this tale is over. At present, we are raising Abigail and Skylar. They will be with us until the summer of 2006.

We have been able to take 2 trips to Florida to visit with Uncle Sonny and Aunt Carol.

We talk of moving from this big house when Abi and Sky move back with Ami. But, we will probably end our days here. There is far too much to "unload" before even thinking of a move. Ron would like to "snow bird" to Florida for 6 months of the year, but I can't see paying for two houses. It would be nice to live somewhere that is far less expensive than the Washington, D.C. area though.

For now, we are doing the Pre-K thing with Abi and spending some alone time with Skylar. I enjoy playing on the computer and especially like fooling around with graphics. My Diva of the 'Net work keeps me busy and entertained. I continue to update the Red Cross web site when the news releases and schedules are sent out.

We get to visit with Frank, Morgan, and the girls. The drive is not that long and is a pleasent one through the Virginia countryside. Ami stops in with the twins from time to time, so we will see them as they grow.

My wish list? I would like to visit my brother in Tennessee and my sister in Pittsburgh. I have never seen either of their homes. Sue is now teaching in Korea and will be there for the next two years, so I probably won't get to see her anytime soon. We do correspond by e-mail to keep up with each other.

I look forward to watching the grandchildren grow. They are all beautiful and each has a special personality of his or her own.

Apples forever!
