UPDATES
Over the past few years, I have begun to replace the worn bits and pieces. After the color resection, I had my right hip replaced. That's working fine now. Then the following year, 2008, My lower 3 vertebrae were fused. Unfortunately, that just didn't so the trick, so in August, 2009, they fused those three with 6 vertebrae above. This is now my new back!
And, as the years pass, the grandchildren continue to grow. We managed to get them all together for Thanksgiving, 2009. They are really quite a crew!
Since our plans to move have been shelved, probably permanently, I decided that it was time to have another pet in the home. We have been without dogs or cats for over 4 years. My puppy, an American Mastiff, was born on July 27, 2008. She is now a year and a half old with another 18 months until she is full grown. At present, she is 150 pounds in weight, obeys pretty well, and hoping for a sister/playmate next summer. We will see!
