The tale continues. There have been many changes since page 14! We are still here in Maryland. My dream of moving has been put on hold for awhile.
Abi and Sky did go to live with their father after Abi completed Pre K. Within 2 months, they were back here living with us. Long story short, their father wasn't capable of raising them. At the same time, Ami and the twins came home too. So, we ended up with a full house once again.
As all of this was happening, we had a For Sale sign planted out on the front yard. Our final destination was to have been Tennessee. We spent a week with my brother and his wife in central Tennessee and found that this would be a very acceptable place for us too.
But, the housing market "tanked" the day we put out the sign, we now had 5 extra people living in the house, and we decided to opt for Plan B ... a little while longer living in Maryland!
So, here we are, two years later. Abi has completed Kindergarten and is now in First Grade. Sky missed Pre-K age by 20 days, so she still spends her days with us.
The big change is that Ami is now in a place of her own. The girls and the boys live with her. Amielia and Trey are still with their father, but do get to spend more time with Ami and the younger kids. They all seem to have a ball when they are together. Ami has a full time job and is beginning to make it on her own. The boys go to daycare and the girls come to us during school hours. We do get weekends free to regroup!
Frank and Morgan have some big news of their own. Gabriel Francis was born on November 12, 2006. Gabriel is the only Gerber boy in our immediate family. He is a happy baby and a joy to have. His big sisters love him dearly and are a big help to Mommy too.
We finally got a picture of the entire crew this past summer.
On July 5th, 2007, I had a total hip replacement. The surgery went well, as did the recovery. There was only one problem, the pain remained. So, an MRI later showed that there are many back issues. I will be seeing a neurosurgeon soon to see what plan of action we need to take now.
In the meantime, Ron and I traveled back to Pennsylvania to attend my 45th high school reunion. I had a wonderful time seeing old friends. Ron even enjoyed himself! I am looking forward to seeing everyone again for the 50th!
